Code 3 cast lead flashing: specification and performance
Midland Code 3 lead flashing is machine cast from 100% recycled raw materials to a 1.32mm thickness and 15kg/m² nominal weight, making it the go-to specification for soaker applications. Certified by the British Board of Agrément (BBA Certificate No. 86/1764), CE marked to EN14783 and approved for use by NHBC, it outperforms milled lead on both strength and creep resistance. The clean, non-oily machine-cast finish means it is ready to fit straight from the roll in any weather. Please note: To prevent thermal expansion and contraction problems, individual Code 3 flashing pieces must not exceed 1 metre in length. Regularly spaced expansion joints must be used to accommodate temperature fluctuations.
